The hire period is for one day, with collection and return times agreed in advance. Collection/delivery is usually the day of the event and returns/collections the day after. Additional days can be arranged at an extra cost.


All our hire goods are supplied clean and ready to use. They should be checked by the hirer on receipt and it is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure items are not left unattended or unsecure at any time. Any queries on items should be made immediately.

The hirer will pay for any loss or damage to items at the advertised replacement rates.

We offer a Delivery & Collection service based on mileage and would be pleased to quote on each individual hire. Alternatively you may Collect and Return from us at no extra cost. For either option the times and details must be agreed beforehand.

We offer a free of charge Washing Up Service. All we ask is that you clear the crockery of any food scraps and all cutlery should be rinsed thoroughly prior to packing away. Be extra vigilant that items of cutlery do not end up in the bin as missing items will be charged for. Under no circumstances should scourers or abrasives be used on any hired items.

We launder and inspect all items of linen prior to hiring. When returned each item is inspected for any missing items or damage. Damage can include burns from candles, matches etc; marks from pens, pencils etc; holes from any pinning or stapling etc and mould or mildew. Mould and mildew cannot be removed through laundering and it is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that linen is not left wet, especially in plastic bags. Wet linen should always be hung out to dry in a well ventilated area and returned dry and in the original packaging.

The Total Payment including Delivery Charges and the Returnable Deposit must be paid in full prior to the hire commencing. We accept payment by cash, cheque and bank transfer.

A Returnable Deposit of £10 or 25% of the order value (whichever is the highest) will be taken prior to the hire starting. When all the items have been returned and checked for any loss or damage, this deposit will be returned within 7 days after the hire, less the replacement cost of any items missing or damaged. This also applies to any packaging supplied with the items. Where the deposit is not sufficient to cover the replacement costs the hirer is liable for the balance.

Cancellations of orders within 14 days of the date of hire will be charged 50% of the hire charge. Cancellations with less than 72 hours notice will be charged at the full hire rate.

Risk in the hire goods and any products will pass immediately to the customer when they leave the physical possession or control of Jamsine China Hire and will not pass back to Jasmine China Hire until the hire goods are back in the physical possession of Jasmine China Hire. Jasmine China Hire is under no liability whatsoever for any injury or damage to persons or property or loss of profit claimed by the hirer in respect of any interruptions, delays, inaccuracies, errors, omissions or any failure to deliver or from the use of any equipment under hire. All hire goods and products including packaging remain the property of Jasmine China Hire at all times.
